It is sad to know Stan is gone. But I immediately had a smile on my face remembering him at one of the Narimasu reunions with his white tux and white tennis shoes. He made us all laugh that night.
Joan, sorry I couldn’t make the funeral. It couldn’t b helped. You and your boys are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care,
Patti
I was a year behind you and Stan, but I remember winning the champship of 1962. He was a great football player and a nice person. I am so sorry for your loss, only hope with all the memories you to had will be a comfort to you
Neighbors for over 30 years, raised our families together. Shared our joys and shared our losses. His home was his castle and damn the city if they gave us any grief.I loved doing battle with him. Be it the city or a football game, just loved his passion for things to be done right and fair.A better man I may never meet, the gathering for his services proved that to be a fact.I am so glad our families had each other we love you all very much. Gloria

Joan & family, I’m so sorry to hear of Stan’s passing…
He was such a wonderful guy and I feel really honored to have known and spent time with him.
The “Admiral” will be sorely missed!
Dear Joan,
Sorry to heard about your husband passing away. I’m sure over the course of 17 years at the DC I must of met him a few times. My best wishes and prayers are with you and your family
Dear Lord, in the battle that goes on as life I ask but a field that is fair – A chance that is equal with all in the strife and the courage to brave and to dare and, if I should win let it be by the code, with my faith and my honor held high and if I should lose, let me stand by the road
And cheer the winner as he goes by.
from “The Athlete’s Prayer” Sensu 1962 I think
We say goodbye to a true winner today, Stan Brown. May Coach Elliott be there to greet him and introduce him as one of Heaven’s Allstars.
Our prayers are with you. My heart goes out to you and your family.God bless you through these trying times. Keep the faith.
We were blessed with Stans presence on the earth and are blessed with the memories to come. Stan was a man that would brighten a room and always had a kind word. I met Stan when I was just starting out in the Mortgage business and he was one of my mentors through my career. He had the right advice always with a fatherly edge to his words. I will always have fond thoughts of the man we know as Stanley Brown. Please know he touched many lives with his smile and we are better people becasue of his friendship.
My prayers to Stan and to all his family as they journey through this time.

With Stans passing it goes to prove that the good die young. We have so many good memories of Stan but one sticks out in my mind the most.
One day Stan came into the City Hall to have a talk ? with the city planners, I was working the information desk for the Police Dept. and as we were talking Stan noticed that the American Flag flying outside was tattered and torn. Stan made note of it and promised to be back that day wih a new flag that wasn’t a disgrace to our country if it was not taken care of immediately. I contacted maintenence and it was taken care of within the hour!
Thank God for people like Stan that took matters in his own hands to make a wrong into a right!
We’ll miss you Stan!!!
I haven’t seen Stan for many years but always will remember him as a happy and good natured fellow. The one thing that I will always remember him for was his love for his family. We worked together back in the mid 70’s for a brief time and we had some good times. R.I.P. Stan.
Dear Joan and family,
So sorry for the loss of your husband, father and grandfather.
I also feel the loss as I had planned on Stan being my new friend. Although I first met stan about 5 years ago it was’nt until last hunting season that I really spent any amount of time with him and knew I wanted him as a friend.
We had so much in common and knew many of the same people. I wish I had met Stan much earlier.
I will especially miss duck hunting with Stan at Paul’s Pond as well as the endless stories and spending time with someone who I was happy to call my friend.
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.

So sorry for this shock in your lives. The only consolation to this is he is in no pain and walking the Streets of Gold or flying he doesn’t need lessons. Anything you need, just call, we will be there, with love.
My condolences to Stan’s family. I was a professional colleague of Stan’s. We first met over 16 years ago. Stan was always upbeat, informative and a pleasure to spend time with. He will be missed.
Dear Joan & Family,

Joan and family,
I was very sorry to read about Stan’s passing. I have nothing but good and positive memories about him. He was a wonderful man with a great personality. I will never forget that with each meeting he had big smile and extended a firm and genuine handshake. He was witty, intelligent, sincerely cared about people and liked by all who met him and knew him. More importantly, his family held primacy in his life. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Sincerely,
Tony Olenczuk
Stan’s humor will be sorely missed by
all of us.
Our condolences to Stan’s family, We have known him for years and he will be greatly missed! His sense of humor and positive personality could turn any slow day of fishing into a wonderful memory on the water!
I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Stan as a Theta Chi fraternity brother from 1963 thru 1967. In knowing Stan, I got to know Barry as well. I think I treasured his white ’63 StingRay as much as he did. His sense of humor was almost as infectious as his rolling laughter. Stan I thank you for many great shared moments. To you Dottie and Barry, I thank the Lord that you shared Stan w/ us for these 64 years…….Larry
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
My condolences to Stans Family! I first met Stan 31 years ago, He was always there for me with a kindness not often found in business today. He always had a laugh to go with any meeting. He meant alot to me and I will miss him. My prayers are with his family.
Sincerely,
Peggy Mayer

Hello Brown Family,
I do not know you and did not know Stanley, but I just read the Seattle Times obituary and it touched me to write. The reasons are that Stanley looked very much like my father who passed away Sept. 17th 1993. My father was married to my mother for 30+ years as well. He was a great man as I’m sure Stanley was. It was just so striking to me how much they resembled each other and both passed away on the 17th of September that I wanted to write. I know how you feel, it’s a great loss and he will be missed so much. I still miss my father today as much as ever. My condolences to you and your family and Stanley’s friends. May you find peace in this time of sadness.
Kind Regards,
Jody Jefferson
A man with a laugh which came easy and filled the listener with joy just to hear it. He will be missed by all. Our prayers for him and all his family members.

I remember Stan as a good natured guy. He always seemed to have a story to tell about different incidents he experienced. He had a great sense of humor with a hearty laugh to go along with his charming personality. It was a pleasure to have known Stan. My condolences to his family.

It is with a heavy heart that we Narimasu Dragons say goodbye to Stan Brown. Stan and his beautiful wife, Joan, were named as “Jesters” in the 1962 yearbook. There was no more apt description of Stan. Always smiling, always laughing, so much the cut up. Just thinking of him brings a smile to my face, even now. Rest in peace, Stan. You will be forever missed.
My condolences. I’m sure I would have enjoyed meeting Stan.
From a fellow Narimasu High School alumnus.
I will always remember the wonderful times you, Joanie, John Nettles and I had together on friday nights at the teen club in Tokyo. Those days will never be forgotten. We will all miss you.
It grieves my heart to hear of Stan’s passing. He was so much fun, whether he was in a duck blind with us or in a fishing boat, or just plain having a good time! He will be greatly missed. I will have to miss the service due to my heart condition, but I will be there in spirit. My condolances to all the family. Paul
Condolences from a fellow Narimas Dragon. I did not know Stan and Joan, but share the heartache now suffered by Stan’s family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
It is always disheartening to hear of another Narimasu Dragons loss to the world. We all share such deep commitment to the world for all of the advantages of being a Military Brat. Some great joy and some sadness for all of us. God Bless you and your family and know that now another Narimasu Dragon is in the hands of God. Let your heart be lightened with the memories of good times and bad and that you will carry these memories with you for life, hoping they can also help you through the hard times.
From a fellow Narimasu Dragon football player and graduate. We all share a special bond and great memories.

Our heartfelt condolences are with Stan’s family at this time. We mourn the passing of a member of our Narimasu family. May your many fond memories comfort you during this time of grief.
We are all better for knowing Stan, he certainly enhanced and enriched my life for knowing him and will be missed dearly.
Dear Joanie and family — So very sorry to hear of Stan’s passing. A good man. In Dallas at 1980 reunion, when I was still a newlywed, he announced, “Kevin, you done good.”
He was, as we well know, more than just a tackle on an NHS championship FB team. Hellulva man whom I enjoyed knowing.
Prayers are with you Joanie and with your family. Call if you nead anything. Send me a memorial card from the services, if you can.
