What I remember most about Uncle Stan is his creativeness in wood working. I was really impressed with quite a bit of his work. I also remember his love for life. It seemed that he was always enjoying life, his family and his home. I know that he and Aunt Ruth are frollicking together hand in hand. Uncle Stan, thanks for your enthusiasm for life.

Love always, Sandra

Words cannot express our heartfelt appreciation to you and yours for all the wonderful memories I have of spending time with your dad and mom, plus you kids. My funnest recollection of your dad, was a deer hunting experience up North Fork above Ogden Canyon, we spent the night in a huge tent, of course the night before opening. It was very cold, and it had snowed that night. Your dad and I was sitting on a knoll and some people was supposedly spooking the deer up from the bottom of the draw. I had the binoculars up to my eyes, and all of a sudden the deer seemed to be right on top of us. I screamed and Uncle Stan was wondering what my problem was. Of course when he shot they scattered, but I never did hear the end of that one. Your mom and dad always made everyone welcome at their home for ever, and ever.

I drank my first iced tea at their house and quit liked it. Your dad truly was a huge tease, and was loved for it. It’s been too long since we were all together. Enjoyed so much having you guys visit us in Vernal many moons ago, with that also comes some great memories. The Stanly W. Lycan family will always be close to my heart. Love each and everyone of you so very much. Thanks for the memories. If your ever back down in Utah again let us know, and we will make every effort possible to see you.

With Love and Sympathy,

Dear Louise and Family — With deep sympathy for your loss and with joy for knowing a life so well lived as Stan’s. The special bond the two of you shared was evident, built on mutual strength, caring, respect, and love. I feel fortunate to have witnessed that. May your memories bring peace. Stan and I share a December 13th birth date. Warm regards, Donna.

Dear Louise and family,

I was so sorry to hear of your father’s death. In knowing Louise for many years, I know his transition would been made easier by all the love you all have given him. I believe he is in a better place now and free of pain and sorrow. I know he will be with you in your daily lives and holding you in his love.

I will always remember the lovely pieces of carving that he donated to the Satir auctions. The love that went into his pieces was visible and felt. I will remember and hold dearly him and his loving kindness.

I will also remember with fondness ,his relationship with Louise and his family, as well as his good friend ,Margarita.

I will forever remember my Grandpa Lycan. I’m now the last Lycan of the family to take on the Lycan name along with my son Caleb. The Lycan name will live on for generations to come. I will miss you Grandpa. Some day I will see you, Grandma and dad soon in the life after.

I only met Grandpa once but the time that I had with him was wonderful. He had such a great spirit. When he met his great grand children; Kalysta, Dustin, and Savannah he lighted up and always was cheerful with them. He never had the chance to meet Caleb, but he was able to see pictures. I will miss him, but I know he is in a better place and with his love of his life.

love,

Autumn grand daughter

It was a pleasure knowing your Dad and of course having breakfast every Sunday with him at the Pancake Chef. He really had some stories to tell. He will be missed.
