Obituary
Steven Eugene Pegs, affectionately known as “Steforeal, was born on September 15, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of January 1, 2024. He was the oldest of two children born to Monte Hickman and Deborah Marie Pegs. Steve was loving, compassionate and cared about animals. Steve’s passion was music. He was an artist who wrote music and created beats that reflected his love for the Lord. Steve was a member of Residence Park Church of Christ, Dayton, OH. Steve graduated from Mt. Rainier High School in 1988 and moved to Seattle, Washington in January 1988, where he worked at Virginia Mason Hospital. He also worked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development for many years. He was a huge OHIO State Buckeyes football fan, and he also loved the Seattle Seahawks, he was definitely a 12.
Steve was an advocate for homelessness, often feeding and mentoring disadvantaged people. He had such a kind heart. And he was always the life at the party.
Steve is preceded in death by his father, Monte Hickman. Steve leaves to cherish and honor his memory: Mommykins, Deborah Pegs-Hickman, Son, Michael Alan Randall and Daughter, Cymone Adore Treat. He is survived by his brother, Leonard “LT” Pegs and wife, Lupe, of Edmonds, Washington, his uncle Charles Drew Pegs of Los Angeles, California, Aunts Carmen Byrd of Akron, Ohio, Pat Faggett, (Walter) of Washington, DC, and Karen Pegs of Franklin, Ohio. Steve also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Love service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 1pm until 4PM. 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA. Flowers, cards and donations can be made to Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA.

Stevie, there’s no way to express the joy and love you shared with the world. I watched you and Dez grow up. You have a kind heart. I know you’re happy; no one deserves it more than you. We all love and miss you and look forward to seeing you in heaven.
