To Sue’s Family – We are so sorry for your loss. Sue was a good friend of my sister, Frances Chambers. Frances was devastated to find Sue’s obituary when she had tried to contact her on her birthday and was unable to reach her. Frances & Sue would spend time together throughout the years. They tried to get together at least once a year. Frances had a stroke a few years ago that left her with having difficulties speaking. Sue was a true friend and always kept in touch with her. Sue could keep the conversation going for the two of them!
Through the years, Frances would stay with Sue a few days and they would go for hikes together and do whatever other adventures they could think to do. Sue would also come visit Frances. Going to Miner’s Drive-In to get a Miner Burger was always on the top of Sue’s list when she came to town my sister and brother-in-law. I believe the last time that she had made the trip to visit them was in March of 2020.
I was fortunate to have known Sue, too. She was a very special person. We loved to hear about all of her experiences. She loved to talk about her family as well. Sue had a lot of energy and was a hard person to keep up with. We really enjoyed our times with her. We really loved and cared about her. She will be deeply missed.
I would have written to give our condolences and share some memories sooner. We were so shocked to hear about Sue and have been trying to find out what happened to her. We had contacted mutual friends, but no one seems to know. We are not trying to intrude, but if a family member would be willing to contact me regarding Sue, it would be greatly appreciated. My name is Jeannia Stanley. My cell phone number is 509-895-4270. Thank you.
