Survon DePaul Narcisse

March 17, 1969 - June 23, 2017

Obituary

Survon “Sur” Narcisse was born to Oliver and Flordia Narcisse at Madigan Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He graduated from Foss H.S. in 1987, where he played football and basketball. He attended Fort Steilacomm C.C. for a period of time, but because of his love for people, really enjoyed selling houses and embarked on a career in Real Estate, where he earned his license in 1995.

He met the love of his life at Infinity Lounge in the Doubletree at Southcenter and married Ingrid Russell on March 3, 1994.  Together they were blessed to have Aliyah Narcisse on June 22, 1998.

Survon had many passions, among those included his love of music, sports, writing, bringing people together and making people laugh.  He also loved dogs, had a huge softspot for all breeds and always had one by his side. He always had a kind word to say and was always ready to lift up someone’s spirit. He would do whatever he could for you and had an affinity for making anyone feel like they mattered.

He performed stand-up comedy and did a BET comedy video, published books, wrote articles for the Tacoma News Tribune, was a rapper who wrote and produced his own music, played guitar and piano, sang in the church choir and really enjoyed helping people.

He is survived by Ingrid, Aliyah his mother Flordia, father Oliver, brothers De Leon and Von Narcisse, sisters Jasmine, Jonae and Lolita Narcisse, cousin Franklin Maccotan and Aunt Etha Martin. In addition he is survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews from California to Louisiana to Connecticut.

I’m so happy I had the opportunity to get to know Survon. He was so kind, talented and hard working. He was so gracious to appear on our television show in Tacoma and he was a big hit. I’ll miss you Survon.

I worked with Survon on a condo project in Tacoma. I loved his wisdom and sense of humor. I just found out he passed when I was on facebook and noticed that he had a ‘remembering’ above name. I was looking forward to hanging out with him now that I’m in the south end.
