She loved to tell the story how she met her partner Chuck during a group kayak expedition when her kayak tipped and he rushed out to save her from the freezing water!
She enjoyed spending lots of time with her daughter Maren on weekends and they had a very close relationship. Susan was a very talented seamstress and quilter. She always had several projects going at once it was very admirable, her desire to create. Every Monday she attended the open sew at Cowlick Quilts with her many quilting friends. Susan also volunteered regularly with the group Hands Touching Hearts who sew projects to donate to various charities in need. She enjoyed sewing with her friend Jean every Thursday up until the last few weeks of her life. All that were lucky enough to know Susan will miss her very much.
