Sylvia Louise Beck, age 96 died peacefully at her home in San Diego on April 2, 2014. Sylvia is survived by her two nephews, Michael (Jessi) Bon and Lance (Rachel) Bon and sister-in-law, Jeri Bon. Sylvia was a successful Restaurateur in the Seattle area for a number of years. Sylvia was a beautiful lady and will be missed by all. Private funeral service will be held.

I enjoyed many many great meals at the Congo room. I also enjoyed the piano playing in the bar adjacent to the restaurant great piano. It took me five years to buy the building from Sylvia however. What a great and wonderful woman she will be missed by myself and many many others.
