Theodore E. Dahl
Theodore Ted Dahl was born April 24, 1918 and died peacefully Saturday October 16, 2004. His children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one sister survive him. His surviving children are Edward Dahl, Robert Dahl, Patrick Dahl and Michele Dahl-Christensen. His surviving sister is Rosa Bowser. Affectionately known as Pops or Dad to his children, Ted to his friends or family and respectfully Mr. Dahl to those who knew the formality was a way of kidding with him, Ted lived simply and unabashedly his own way throughout his life. He was a mosaic of a man, everyone seeing a uniquely different piece of him. Not everyone will agree what he or she saw in this mosaic, but all will agree that Ted was kind, generous and forgiving. As his daughter says, “For those of you who did not know my father, you have met him, for he lives…He has taught me compassion, forgiveness, honesty and how to appreciate the simple things in life.” His presence will be missed, and his spirit will be cherished in our hearts. No memorial service will be held per his wishes.
