Theresa A. HILLSTROM
Theresa was born October 23, 1921 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She passed away in her daughter Kathy’s home in Burien November 13, 2007. Theresa was a long time resident of Burien. She met her late husband, Harry Hillstrom, in Seattle and they married there in January, 1939. .They and their children moved to Burien in 1954. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved her family, yard and home. She is survived by children Joan Kent Kasnic of San Jose, CA, Kathy Brick Kincaid of Burien and Greg Linda Hillstrom of Centralia, WA. She was very proud of her large group of grandchildren, Dale Kasnic, Margaret Brennan, Susan Wilcox, Barbara Kasnic, Mary Glover, Joe Kincaid, Bryan Kincaid, Jeremy Kincaid, Theresa Kincaid, Josh Hillstrom, Ben Hillstrom, Bekah Wilson, Andy Hillstrom, Eli Hillstrom, Hannah Liggett and Rachel Hillstrom. She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, her brothers Charles Darlene Mathews in Kingman, AZ and John Rosegene Mathews who are long time Burien residents also, many nieces, nephews and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Her sister Marie Christopher predeceased her. Theresa was member of St. Francis of Assisi parish and the Grandmother Club of Seattle for many years. She loved to travel and had enjoyed many trips: one to Italy, many to California, the East Coast and had just returned from Nevada a few months ago. Rosary 7:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2007 at Bonney-Watson Parker Chapel, 900 SW 146th Street. Please join us for a celebration of her life at 12:30 PM, Saturday, November 17, 2007 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 15236 – 21st Avenue SW. We had the pleasure of meeting “Grandma” a few times in San Jose. She was a lovely person and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
