Obituary

Please join us to celebrate the life of Timothy Brian Vergillo. Tim was born in Seattle, WA on May 10, 1946 to Martin and Elizabeth Vergillo. He attended Renton High School, where he was a member of the gymnastics team and graduated in 1965. Tim met Katharina Stahelin at the Renton roller skating rink In 1963 and asked her to go steady on November 9, 1963.  

During their courtship, Tim attended Seattle Community College, graduating with an Associate’s degree in boat building, and became an apprentice boat builder. Tim and Kay married on February 11, 1967 and lived first in Seattle, then Issaquah, Poulsbo, and Duvall. They have two sons, Dean and Sean, who Tim adored and cherished.  

Tim worked at his dad’s gas station on Lake City Way prior to starting his own business as a Finish Carpenter; Tim and Kay’s happiest times were with family and friends. They joined the Early Irons Car Club in 1972 and spent many family vacations at Car Shows and Rod Runs, showing the 1927 Model T that Tim purchased at the age of 16 and rebuilt. Tim enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Fat Boy and sunny vacations. He especially loved their family trips to Lake Shasta.

Tim passed peacefully on July 22, 2019 with his wife by his side. He is preceded by his father – Marty, mother-Tish, and brother- Mick. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years – Kay, his sons- Dean and Sean, his daughters-in-law – Robyn and Stephanie, and his five grandchildren – Nicholas, Zechariah, Miranda, Luke, and Kathryn. 

Please join us to celebrate the life of Tim Vergillo on Sunday, September 15th, 1-4 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Issaquah, 1800 NW Gilman Blvd, Issaquah, WA 98027.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Seattle.
