Obituary
Timothy A. Coppa died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at his home in Steilacoom, Washington, with his wife at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney A. Coppa and Deborah V. Perez.
Tim is survived by his wife, Ma. Cristina Latoja; two Daughters, Amethyst Chapman of El Dorado CA, and Crystal Marie Coppa of El Paso, TX; A Step-Daughter, Maurine Margarette Galvez; two Step-Brothers, Julio and Christopher Perez of New Mexico; one Step-Sister, Rebecca Coppa-Carbulido of Carson CA; and two Granddaughters.
Tim was a man of faith and belief in the Lord. He did everything with joy and gladness. Although Tim was born in California, he later found himself in Washington through work, and instantly loved it here. It would be about 7 years later when a new chapter of his life would begin, when he and Cristina married in 2015. In their short time together as a married couple, Tim & Cristina enjoyed the ups and downs of marriage, impromptu road trips, and homemade lumpia. Together, the couple lived by their favorite scripture from Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Tim loved to cook! He also loved driving everywhere and anywhere, biking on the foothills trail in Orting, fishing, eating squid, Spanish cuisine, and the salad at Olive Garden—- but he loved cooking the most. He wanted to master culinary arts so he could create masterpieces and raise funds for the church that he loved. Tim looked forward to every church service and event. He found a home and a true sense of family there, but most of all, it is because they brought him closer to the One he loved the most— Jesus!
At the end, Tim found peace in knowing he would be with the Lord. Tim was a man of faith and belief in the Lord. He did everything with joy and gladness. Let us celebrate him.
