Obituary

Todd C. Neumann, 61, of Burien, Washington, passed away at his home on April 30, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Lori Neumann, their two children, Daniel Neumann and his wife Sydney, and Andrew Neumann and his wife Paige; his brothers Larry Neumann and his wife Diana, and Scott Neumann and his wife Sue. He was born on November 12, 1961, in Fargo, North Dakota to Norman and Jean Neumann.

Todd was the youngest of three boys. He graduated from high school in Fargo and attended college at the University of North Dakota, where he received a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering in 1985. Shortly after graduating, he moved to Auburn, Washington and went to work for Boeing as a Cad Cam engineer. Todd met Lori McGee at church in 1986, and the couple was married on August 1, 1987. They moved to the Burien area that same year, where they have lived and worked ever since.

Todd was a quiet, dedicated, and loving man of God who lived his faith wholeheartedly. He loved music and played oboe in his high school band, and later sang bass in several church choirs. He was a devoted member at Boulevard Park Church, where he served as a church trustee, ran the sound system, and coordinated the church’s ongoing remodeling project.

One of Todd’s favorite pastimes was camping with his family. He loved to take his family on camping trips to Manchester State Park, Fort Flagler, Champoeg, and Deception Pass, and continued to explore the local scenery in both Washington and Oregon with his wife after he retired in 2017. Their camping ventures always included their dog, Rocket, and no matter where they were, Todd could be seen walking his dog along the trails.

He was a devoted husband and father and loved to do home projects with his sons. He and Lori were inseparable and never tired of spending time together. If they weren’t camping or working for the church, they were helping care for Lori’s mother. Todd was willing to lend a helping hand with a smile and a good cup of coffee.

Todd made a huge impact in the lives of those he served. He preferred to stay out of the limelight, but could be found helping behind the scenes. His quiet leadership was a beautiful example not only to his sons, but to all those who knew him. He has left a priceless legacy, and his passing has left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. He lived his life in service to his Lord and Savior and is celebrating an eternity with Jesus.

Donations in memory of Todd can be made to Seattle Christian School Music Department, 18301 Military Rd. S, SeaTac, WA 98188.
