Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. During this difficult time, the Bible is a wonderful source of comfort. Jesus promises us at John 5:28,29 that “…all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out….” May the hope of seeing your father again, as well as your fond memories, bring a measure of comfort to you and your family.

AFTER A LONG DIFFICULT ILLNESS HE SURELY DESERVES TO REST IN HEAVEN. HIS FAVORTE RESPONSE WAS ALWAYS “ONE DAY AT A TIME” AND WAS A GREAT ASSET TO THE ITALIAN COMMUNITY OF SEATTLE AND TO THE PRISONERS OF WAR ASSOCIATION OF WHICH HE WAS NATIONAL PRESIDENT. WE WILL MISS HIM AND KNOW THAT HE WILL RECEIVE HIS REWARD FOR ALL THE GOOD HE HAS DONE.

As President of the Dante Alighieri Society of Washington, I wish to extend the sympathies of our entire membership on the loss of your father. Mr. Ferrucci was instrumental in reorganizing and revitalizing our Society in the seventies based on his strong support for the promotion of Italian culture and language. In fact, for many years he seemed to singlehandedly run the organization and remained concerned that we stay true to our mission and not be tempted to simply equate Italian culture to food alone. He once remarked to me that had he not been able to speak Italian, he would not have been able to survive his prisoner of war experience. His influence on the Society will remain for many years to come and he will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Best wishes at this sad time from Pete and Christine Goyer. We knew Tony through my father, Col. Frank X. Krebs, CO 440th Troop Carrier Group and through his work as President of the 440th TCG Association.

Farewell to my friend of 43 years. You were loyal, loving and a great soldier. Say hello to Mama and tell her I don’t need any more spaghetti–even though she will protest “Come in and have some pasta. No, is not an answer.” I will miss you, forever, in this life. Love, Bobbie
