Obituary
January 11, 1997 – May 14, 2023
Staff Sergeant Trayvon Jaron Shriff Lee Walker was born on January 11, 1997, in Seattle, Washington to Rodney E. Foster and Catina S. Walker. He was a smart, energetic child who loved to wrestle and ride his heelys. As he grew older, he found great joy in his video games, loved his siblings, and would do anything to see them smile. He had a good heart, a kind soul, and an infectious laugh.
He traveled with his father through Shreveport, St. Louis and Alton, Illinois, finally landing in Georgia where he graduated from Monday Mills High School and enlisted in the United States Army in June 2015 and was off to Fort Moore (Fort Benning) for bootcamp.
Staff Sergeant Walker went on to accomplish great things. He was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas and Fort Carson in Colorado. He was deployed on a rotation to Korea from October 2016 to June 2017 and again to Georgia in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve from January 2019 to October 2019.
Staff Sergeant Walker served as an Abrams Driver, Bradley Driver, dismounted scout, team leader, Headquarters Platoon Sergeant, and squad leader while assigned to the Battalion Scout Platoon “Black Sheep” Headquarters and Headquarters Company “Huron”, and Battalion’s 23rd Regiment “Tomahawks”.
He permanently left his mark on the Black Sheep Platoon by designing the platoon crest, introducing the wear of Calvary Stetson during the duty week and by leading the Tomahawk Scouts.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ida Mae and Don Whittaker, Hayward Douglas Parris, Uncles Mark and James Foster, Cousins LaTrez Judkins, Ondralexsis Smith, and Tyrell Walker.
He leaves behind his parents Rodney and Catina Foster; wife Kierra; sisters Rodjanee and Tiara; brothers Rodney and Azjonté; his grandmother Patricia Walker; a host of aunties, uncles, cousins and friends and the hundreds of soldiers whose lives he has touched and will be forever changed by his passing.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Unites States Army and fellow veterans serving our country.
I miss you son
