Obituary

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, on April 27th 1947, Tuu Van Nguyen is the oldest of six children. At the young age of 21, Tuu enlisted in the South Vietnam Army and went on to serve as Captain from 1968 to 1975 during the Vietnam war. A prisoner of war after the fall of Saigon, Tuu got on a boat to cross the Pacific Ocean in search of a better life for his family. Once settled on land, Tuu found a new life and a living to help support his wife and 7 children back home. 

Tuu worked multiple jobs, saved up every penny to help sponsor his family to America. In September 1989, that dream came true and for the first time in 5 years Tuu was reunited with his beautiful family and met his 5 year old daughter for the first time. 

Tuu is a loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He is known for his charismatic personality, humor, and utmost responsibility to take care of those he loved. He passed away peacefully on Friday March 6th, 2020, surrounded by his children and life long companion, their mother. He is survived by his life long companion with whom he spent 53 years with, 7 biological children, 1 adopted daughter and 17 grandsons and granddaughters.”
