Umberto Papini
Born February 26, 1922 in Mulina di Stazzema, Province of Lucca, Italy. Went to be with our Lord May 7, 2009.
Beloved husband of 63 years to Lina; father of Carlo Angela, Luciano, Nick Marilyn, and Dino Kym; grandfather of Angela, Anthony, Giancarlo, Laura, Danielle, Liana, Iva, Sofia, Giulia, and Cristiano; and great-grandfather of Jaden, Keagan, and Giana. He was preceded in death by sisters Anita, Natalina, and Adalgisa, and brother, Vincenzo.
Umberto served with the Italian 2nd Armada during WWII. Following the war, he met and married the love of his life, Lina. In 1956, Umberto and his family emigrated to Seattle where he enjoyed such hobbies as winemaking, fishing, and hunting, but especially enjoying the legacy of his growing family. His example as a dedicated husband and loving father will be missed by us all.
Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14, 2009 at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 13055 SE 192nd Street, Renton, WA.
