Obituary
Van Thoi Khau, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed into heavenly eternity on December 10, 2023, in Renton, Washington, at the age of 63. Known for his invincible spirit and the joy he brought to every life he touched, Van Thoi’s legacy is one of love, determination, and faith.
Born in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on April 25, 1960, Van Thoi was the youngest of ten siblings. He founded and managed a successful business in Ha Ton Quyen market for four decades, a testament to his entrepreneurial spirit and hard work.
Van Thoi’s heart found its match in Kim Muon Vuong, whom he married on October 24, 1986, after a memorable encounter in Da Lat, Vietnam. Their blessed union brought forth three children: Ngan, Nghi, and Phuong, each a reflection of their father’s enduring love and values.
A devout Buddhist, Van Thoi dedicated countless hours volunteering at Ngoc Lam, Hue Lam, Tu Hanh, Sung Quang, and Phap Van temples in Vietnam, and later at Duoc Su, Thien Quang Tu, and Truc Lam Minh Chanh temples in the USA. His commitment to his faith and community was unwavering, always extending a helping hand to those in need.
Van Thoi leaves behind a loving family: his wife, Kim Muon; children Ngan, Nghi, and Phuong; siblings in Vietnam; the Vuong and Tran families of Seattle; and the Khau, and Banh families of California. Each of them carries a piece of his enormous heart. A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 17th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with the funeral service on Monday, December 18th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA 98188.
It’s hard for us to comprehend that you are no longer here. Rest In Peace Anh Thoi.
