Obituary
Velma Jane Harrington, age 89, born March 31, 1926 in Seattle, WA to Errol and Erma Snyder went home peacefully with the Lord Friday, August 7, 2015 in the loving care of Olga Uliziana Paraschiv at Grace Memory Care in Kirkland, WA.
Velma is survived by Ronald L. Harrington of Omak, WA. Donna J. Bong (Daniel) of Wenatchee, and Melinda H. Lyle of Kirkland, WA: 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren as well as many family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Francis L. Harrington (4/24/2004) and a son at 19 months Gregory Allen Harrington. She was the last of her generation.
Velma would like to be remembered for her love of God, husband, her mother sons and daughters as well all her grand’s and great-grand’s, family and dear friends. They truly brought joy to her life. She was a caregiver like no other for her mother and her husband till they departed. A true baker of cookies on the holidays as one year she made 47 different kinds. She made housewife a principal occupation which included raising a family, holding bumpers for her husband in their Auto body business for 25 + years. Garage Sales was a favorite past time.
