Velma Lee Broughton BEDELL
88, died May 21, 2019 at her daughter’s home in Seattle, she was born August 29, 1930.
Velma was a longtime resident of White Center and was preceded in death by her husband Mark George Bedell, Jr, her sister Barbara Hawks, her brother Vernon Broughton as well as her parents and many other relatives.
She is survived by her children Pamela Jo Bedell-Warren, Mark LeRoy Bedell (Cindy), Paulette LeAnn Crawford (Michael) and Juanita Joy Brennan; a sister in-law Sharon Broughton as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and their families, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.
A viewing will be held on May 31st from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Bonney-Watson Washington Memorial Funeral Home in SeaTac. The service will be held at Mt. View Presbyterian Church June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a reception following then a burial service at 2:30 PM at Washington Memorial Park, SeaTac.

Velma Lee was a kind lady. She was one of the neighborhood mothers, along with mine, that looked after and watched over both her children and the Sample boys. She will be missed.
