Obituary
Venita Johnson was born on May 10, 1961 to Robert and Bonita Johnson in Seattle, WA. She grew up in Seattle, in the Yesler Terrace neighborhood. She attended school in Seattle and also attended South Seattle Community College, where upon completion she received her Cosmetology Certification.
She was a loving and caring mother of four girls; Jamila, Antoinette, Kimmei’sha, and Samone. She was a devoted and loving grandmother of four grandchildren; Jayda, Jaylen, Anthony Jr., and Dont’ae.
Venita accepted Christ at an early age, devoting her life to serving the Lord.
Venita enjoyed life and was a loving person to all she meet. She also found joy in being a school bus driver and appreciated the many personalities of the children she came in contact with, as well she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading her bible, crocheting, and cooking.
God called her home on February 23, 2015. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Daniel and Pauline West, Father Robert Johnson, Aunt Patricia Green, and her older Sister Bonita Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her mother; Bonita Johnson; four daughters; Jamila Hall, Antoinette Mosby, Kimmei’sha Anderson, and Samone Washington; four grandchildren; Jayda Williams, Jaylen Morgan, Anthony Williams, and Dont’ae Williams; her nephew; Wilson Pettiford and her niece, Jessica Samuels.
Venita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
On behalf of the Weatherly family, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers during this time. I would offer that God is a comforter and knows the pain and loss you feel. Be blessed and if there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
