My heart goes out to all my cousins who have lost this amazing woman. I will truely miss you Aunt Verda. You were one of a kind.
I know somwwhere she is relieved that I will no longer try to eat her was fruit or put my hands on her clean windows.
Love you
Grandma you will be with me in spirit to guide and watch over me…. Always!
I lost my 2nd Mom on Monday, the 5th. I was so glad I was able to visit her a month or so ago. We talked about “the property” and the inner tube floats for the adults (Bottle of Wine, fruit of the vine . . .) and as soon as the kids got big enough, they joined us. Mom could hear us coming down the river for over a half mile. “Us girls” made crafts such as Wise Men where we scavenged the thrift stores for pieces of jewelry and chains. Pine cone wreaths was another Christmas project as well as candles. Did you know that if you took melted wax and whip it with a hand crank hand mixer . . . you get fluffy wax and you get “sno-ball” candles.
“Mom” . . . you will be missed very much, but my memories will last me a lifetime. Thank you for your unconditional LOVE . . .
