Veronica Pauline Goar
Born March 8, 1913 in Minneapolis, MN; died August 21, 2005 in Federal Way, WA at the age of 92. Veronica worked at Burien General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the E.R. She is survived by her eldest daughter Mary and Ed Reynolds of Redding, CA; 7 grandchildren, surnames, Bard 2, Walker 3, Wojack 2. Preceded in death by husband Chester, daughters Ronnie, Patty and Laurie and grandson Trent Walker. Visitation Wednesday, August 24th 12:00 – 8:00pm with a Rosary at 4:00pm all at Bonney-Watson Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Pt. Rd. 253 839-7317. Funeral Mass Thursday, August 25th at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 20525 8th Ave. S, Federal Way. Memorials to Cancer Care Program, Attention Foundation, Highline Medical Center, 16251 Sylvester Rd. SW, Burien, WA 98166.
Our sympathy to you and your family. I have many fond memories of times in your family home with all of you. Ronnie and Frank were my son Rons Godparents. I remember your mom and dad were the only people I knew who had a dishwasher. I recall your mom working very hard at the hospital. It must have been very painful to have lost her spouse, three of her daughters and a grandchild. I cannot even imagine the pain. Now she is reunited with them and your dad in a much kinder place. Once again sympathy to you and yours.
I will miss Aunt Vernie very much. She was such a grand individual with great endurance. I am sorry I missed the services, but I know my dad John Leo Goar attended. I will miss her presence, and know she has touched many individuals while she was with us. Uncle Chet was blessed to have found her, and I am grateful to have had her part of my family.

My condolences to Veronica’s friends and family. I am the grandson of Veronica’s brother John “Walt” Gordon. I had recently been asked by Walt to find contact information for both Veronica and his sister Elizabeth. Unfortunately I found both through obituaries, as Betty passed away in December, 2005. As he is the last remaining of the Gordon siblings, it would be much appreciated if someone from Vernic’s how Walt refers to her family could contact me. Thank you.
