Obituary
Virginia Ann Nicodemus-Groom, age 72, born July 12, 1933 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma to James and Cora Nicodemus, passed peacefully at home on July 13, 2005. Virginia is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth D. Groom; her two sons, David J. Chikako and James L. Groom; daughter, Lydia R. Nor; two grandsons, Zakarya M. K. and Abdelaziz S.K. Nor and her cousins including the Blackwells, Sanders and Mayes. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 from 12:00 Noon – 8:00 PM at BONNEY-WATSON Washington Memorial, 16445 International Blvd., SeaTac, WA 206 242-1787. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 9:00 AM at Des Moines United Methodist Church, 22225 – 9th Avenue S., Des Moines, WA. Private Committal will follow at the Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, WA.

My sincere condolences to all of you in this time of sorrow. I remember the last time I talked to your mother, Dave. I wanted to invite you to my wedding and I needed an address for you. You were overseas at that time and she was not quite sure where to send it, but did offer her help by giving me the last known address for you. Needless to say, you did not get it, but that was ok. It’s not like you would have been able to attend anyway. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
