Dear Herb and family–We were saddened at hearing of Virginia’s passing. The twinkling eyes and quiet ways will be missed.

Thanks from Maria:–You and she were always so helpful with recruiting good election workers, and faithful in making sure things were done right, where you served.

Your kindness, and generous volunteer hours inspired me to keep going, too. Your influence went far beyond just elections, and into all things Republican. We’ve been battling a long time to make sure that ours is a government “by…, for…, and of the people”. Thank you and Virginia for your service!

God Bless you. Maria and Ken Seal

Virginia- such a great lady and role model to follow

I have so many wonderful memories of Virginia and her husband Herb. My senior year at Cleveland High School 62 I was elected Prom Chairman. During this time my Father took ill and passed away. Virginia and Herb asked to help me during my grieving in planning the Senior Prom—from that day on my relationship with them grew. I have always thought of them as my second parents. They helped my Mother and me so much bringing dinner over and just being there for us. I will always remember them going out of there way to help us. I married my senior prom escort in 63 and Virginia helped me then in giving me ideas for my wedding. She had such great ideas. Phil and I stopped by their house many times to visit them. The hospitality was always so warm. When they went on trips she would always send us a post card telling us about their trip. And she never forgot my birthday in sending me a card! My son, Brad who is 42 remembers going over to visit them and eating great cookies and Herb would share his matchbox collection with him. We all have such great memories they will never be forgotten. Virginia will be missed. I feel blessed that she played such a big part of my life and my family feels that way too! We all love them both so much. Our prayers go out to the family and—- thanks for sharing such a wonderful person with us.

What a truly good friend and surrogate sister Virginia was for me. I treasure my time with her wherever she was — home, hospital, or health care center. She was such a great lady and I am blessed to have had her touch my life. May God grant you extra strength as you cope with the void her death leaves in your lives. I hope it will be of some comfort to you to know that your loss is shared. Bob joins me in expressing our gratitude to you, Herb and Dean, for sharing your wife and grandma with us. We will miss her. Warmly, Susan

Dear Family Members, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Virginia. I remember her from my high school days, but especially knew her through the stories my mom and dad John and Elizabeth Stetson told of the times at Seattle First UMC. My mom passed away last May.

May you find peace in knowing she is in a beautiful place with God.

Sincerely, Nancy Stetson Hester

Dear ones,

We have wonderful memories of Virginia. Putting up berries, baking cookies, writing cards, helping friends…she was always doing things for others. Her endless energy and resilience set examples for all of us. Our favorite picture of her is with the halo brace looped with christmas lights…a perfect reflection of her fiery spirit. We were blessed to know Virginia, and we will strive to embrace life as she did, with joy, with perserverance, with love. Herb, Jim, John, Jerry and family, may God bless you and give you His peace. Our hearts are with you.
