Obituary
Virginia Freelund, 95, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother, was called to her resting place on February 3, 2023. She entered this world on October 15, 1927 in St Paul, MN, born to James and Irene Stoneback. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Donald, Norman, Thomas; husband Edwin, and daughter Lynn.
She is survived by four children; James Freelund; David [Pam] Freelund; John [Kathy] Freelund; and Carol [Darryl] Douglas, as well as 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Virginia was well known for her kindness and generosity. She loved gardening, golfing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren which brought her much joy. She enjoyed playing golf with the women’s club and shared many stories about her days on the course. She spent her golden years at her lake property enjoying her garden, wildlife and soul mate, Edwin. His passing after 72 years of companionship and marriage was devastating. Her family mourns her loss, but finds comfort in knowing that Ed and Virginia are together forever, and will be cherished by eternal memories.
