Vivian Marie Anderson of Federal Way, Washington passed away at the age of 94 on February 3, 2022. She was born on March 19, 1927 in Scranton, Iowa to Laurence and Elsie Nielsen. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine, and is survived by her daughter Bonnie and son Steven.
She loved sewing, cooking, and entertaining, as well as collecting dolls and other antiques. She was proud of her work at United Airlines, from her days as a radio operator during WWII all the way to her retirement. She enjoyed fishing and Model A Fords, gardening and ringing the bells in the bell choir at church. She had so many varied interests! Her vibrant energy will be missed.
There will be a celebration of life at Calvary Lutheran Church (2415 South 320th Street, Federal Way, WA 98003). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests supporting cancer research, through The Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium or The Cancer Research Institute.
