Obituary
Vivian Ruby Willis Dorland was born November 28, 1917 to Harold and Beatrice Willis in Vancouver, Canada. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 18th.
Vivian graduated from Broadway High School and received her nursing degree from Seattle University and Columbus Hospital. She served as a nurse in World War II as a Lieutenant in the 50th General Hospital. After the war she and her husband Dr. Edison Dorland began a medical practice in downtown Seattle. She worked alongside him until they closed the practice in 1987. She and her husband loved to travel and took many extended trips across the world. She also loved to garden which was very evident as their yard was maintained beautifully.
Vivian was predeceased by her loving husband Dr. Edison G. Dorland, her son Kim W. Dorland and brother Norman Willis. Vivian is survived by her son Kelly Dorland , his wife Laura and daughter in law Barbara Dorland. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Gerret, Brittany, Edison and Kailee and a large extended family.
Services will be held at Washington Memorial Park on Friday, April 26th at 12:30.
