Obituary

Vivian WILCOX
Age 88, passed away on Aug. 17, 2008. She was born to Frank and Martha McDonald in Seattle, WA Aug. 20, 1919.

She met and married Don Wilcox in 1939 and settled in the Sunnydale area where they raised five children, Donna Stephani Nick, George Wilcox Janice, Shirley Estes Gary, Barbara Parks Ron, and Robert Wilcox. In 1965 they moved to Des Moines, WA where they lived for over 40 years. She enjoyed working in the yard and had many hobbies, like working on her miniature dollhouses, and loved to crochet, and feed all her little birds. Her biggest joy was being a grandmother to all her grandchildren, Mike, Michelle, Mark, Melinda, Sharone, Bill, Tammy, and Scott. She also has 19 great grandchildren that she was very proud of. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Our Mother was such a kind and generous lady who never spoke an unkind word about anyone. Her love will always be with us. There will be no service at her request.

Remembrances may be made to the Des Moines Fire Department.

My grandmother Lynn Venohr was close friends with Vivian, we grew up calling her “Viviwoman” because by brother couldn’t pronounce her name. I have many great memories at her house of little birds, doll houses, and donuts with coffee.
