Obituary
Washington Adapakala Rao, 81, of Pacific, Washington, went to his heavenly home on March 16, 2022. He passed away peacefully at Multicare Auburn Regional Center. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and friend.
Washi was born in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India to his parents, Eliah and Krupa Adapakala on October 28, 1940. He was the youngest sibling to brothers, Everett and Ebenezer and older sister, Elizabeth.
He graduated from McLaurin High School in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India and went on to do his Pre-University Course in Noble College Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He also graduated with a license in mechanical engineering at Polytechnical College in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. At the age of 29, he joined his eldest brother, Everett in Seattle, Washington, USA, then went to Lutheran Bible Institute for Biblical Studies. He went to Shoreline Community College studying electrical technology. He went to Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon for his Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering. He later went on to work as a machinist for 16 years at Aero Controls in Auburn, Washington, USA.
He was also involved in personal and public evangelism ever since he was a young man. He continued during vacation visits to India, most of his time was spent preaching, teaching, praying, and counseling.
He was a protective and loving husband to his wife, Jean. They met in India in 1990 and were married. In 1991, they were together in the USA. They were married for 32 years, never left each others side.
One of Washington’s biggest accomplishments was being a father. He had always wanted children and considered himself lucky enough to have one. His daughter, Jessica, called her dad a strong pillar, and even as an adult, still sees him that way. He was always there through the ups and downs, and offered Godly wisdom and prayer.
He was preceded by his father, mother, and siblings and was the last of his generation. He is survived by his wife, Jean and his daughter, Jessica. His legacy will live on and he will be greatly missed.
