Wilbert Madison, Jr. of Seattle was born November 3, 1945 to Wilbert Madison, Sr. and Emily Madison of Seattle . After years of struggling with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Wilbert Madison, Jr., most commonly known as ‘Mingo’, departed peacefully on the morning of July 5, 2010 at Swedish Medical Center. Mingo attended Garfield High School in Seattle, Washington, served in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer, and later worked in the Construction and Aircraft Industries. Mingo is survived by his loving family, His Mother Emily Madison Sons: James, Brandon CeCelia Anne Madison, and Kevin Daughters: Stephanie Marvin Gordon, Dawn Marie Carl Crawford, Michelle Gardner, Grand children: Mark, Latasha, Deaundre , Alexis Lakita, Renee , Jerry, Devin, Donnesha, Britney, Great Grand children: Elijah, Roleia, Delyia, Desean, De-John. Nephew: Ishmael Butler, nieces Michelle Jefferson and Nichole Madison

Former Spouses: Jean Gilmore and Lynette Norwood

Along with a host of loving cousin, great nieces and great aunts

Mingo was fun, exciting, always had a great story to tell, He had great joy for children and much love for his family. He made friends easily throughout his life, and was always willing to lend a helping hand. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 12pm-5pm at Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 1732 Broadway, Seattle. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 16th at First AME Church 1522 14th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122, final viewing will begin at 10 AM, services will be held at 11 AM. Graveside services and Military Tribute will begin at 12:30 PM on Monday July 19th at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 Southeast 240th Street Covington, WA 98042.
