Obituary

William (Bill) Lyle Aubin Jr., 74, of Bellevue, Washington, passed away on March 20, 2023.

Bill was born on January 4, 1949, to Stella (Abbey) and Bill Aubin Sr. in Vancouver, British Columbia. The Aubin family moved to Vancouver, Washington, in 1953 before settling in Bellevue, Washington, in the early 1960s to open up the Fun Forest, a local amusement park located near the Seattle Center.

Upon graduation from Bellevue High School in 1967, he went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1971. One year of that was spent in the Vietnam War. There, he earned a National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Vietnam Campaign Medal, and a Rifle M-14 Marksman badge. After serving in the war, he started a successful career in real estate in the state of Washington. He also worked for the family business at the Fun Forest as a photographer and manager of one of its gift shops.

Bill enjoyed photography, taking road trips, and making new connections throughout the years. He was incredibly creative, gregarious, and had a big heart.

He went on to have two daughters, Tanya Aubin and Kaytee Fraser, and he was very close with his mother, Stella Aubin and younger sister, Stella Robertson. Bill was predeceased by Bill Aubin Sr. (father) and Stella Aubin (mother). He is survived by his daughters Tanya Aubin and Kaytee Fraser, his sister, Stella Robertson, and his niece and nephew, Melissa Robertson and Bret Robertson.

A service will be held at Bonney Watson: Washington Memorial Park on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org).
