William Charles Barry, age 87, died peacefully on October 9th, 2009 in Federal Way, WA. William is survived by his daughter, Elaine M. Varwig Richard; son, William G. Barry Teresa; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Margaret in 1982. Rosary services will be held on Wednesday, 10/14 at 7:00 pm at BONNEY-WATSON Federal Way, 1535 SW Dash Point Rd., Federal Way, WA 253 839-7317. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 10/15 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 30525 – 8th Avenue S., Federal Way, WA .
I’m going to miss grandpa, but I have a lot of nice memories from when I was little. To this day I still can’t see a brown paper grocery bag without thinking of pretzels and Kebbler elf cookies. I’ll never forget Christmas Day either- we all picked out our pajamas and robes before Christmas and had to be surprised when we opened them from grandpa in the afternoon so he didn’t know! My only sadness is I never got to know him as an adult.
