My dad died peacefully at home after being diagnosed with cancer the day after his 80th birthday. We had time to have so many quality conversations. He made sure to tell me that he loved me very much 🙂 Even as he lay in his bed, my dad’s thoughts were on my mom…that we would look out for her, that my brothers and I would have a good life, and he was always asking about each of his grandkids. His family and friends mattered so much!

My dad always had a respect for God and wanted to know more about “religion” as he knew that his time was getting short. He asked my friend to come over and to discuss what he needed to do to be right with God. He asked my friend to lead him in the sinner’s prayer. I am so happy knowing that I will see my dad again! I never wanted to loose my dad but knowing that I will see him again has made all the difference.

We will have a celebration of life service on Wednesday, August 13th at Grace Church on Dash Point Road in Federal Way at 4 pm. There will be a potluck at my house directly afterwards. Everyone is welcome. I will have directions and a map available.

Dear Adele , Bill was a super guy and real good company all the time. At the ymca he was for years our leader. We will miss his warm smile and laughter. His death has sadden us deeply and we can only be thankful that we once knew him for a period of several years. Bonnie and I extend our condolences to you and your family.

I had the honor of having Bill in my aerobic classes at the YMCA. We always had a rousing good time. I will miss his mischievous smile and that wonderful twinkle in his eye. He sure kept us on our toes. My prayers and thoughts are with the family and all of his dear Y family too.

Adele and Bills family: In the years that we have had Bill in our lives we found him to be fun loving, honest, humble and a true friend. Many times he provided transportation for us when we needed it…no matter whether it was early or late. We met for coffee after our YMCA class on a regular basis and we always had a laugh or two. He spoke often of his kids and how proud he was of them and his grandkids (who gave much joy). We know he is in heaven, away from all the pain he had the past year. We miss him so much and we know that you all must have good memories of him. We sure do.

I knew Bill at the Y exercise class at the old building.I was amazed and thankful for generous gift of cakes for our birthdays. He did a great job. I think he truly loved it. I him remember sharing about all his kids and how proud he was of you. I would see him often at Fred’s with Adele and at Wendy’s for lunch.

I must be very honest. I prayed with all my heart that he would come to know the Lord before his death. I was sadden to hear that Bill had cancer. He was so active and kept himself in such great shape. Thank you, Linda for sharing. I am overjoyed today to this news. Without the Lord in my live I would not any hope. God bless your family and praying for comfort for Adele, Linda and your brothers.

Adele, So sorry to learn of Bill’s passing. He will be missed by all at Wednesday bowling, he always had a smile on his face and it was a pleasure to have known him. We also remember our bus tour with the two of you to the East Coast. Hope you will show up at HiLine Lanes this fall.

It breaks my heart to just learn of Bill’s passing. I am proud to say he was a dear friend for almost 15 years. We had so many fun memories and I loved that man more than he ever realized. He ALWAYS remembered my birthday, brought me flowers from his yard, came and visited me in the hospital when I needed to see a friendly face. The last time I saw Bill we went on a breakfast date before I moved to LA. We talked about life, our battles with cancer, the future and we laughed and laughed. He was an angel in my life and always made me feel loved. Now I have another true angel looking over me from above.
