Obituary
William Lawrence Brown, 80, of Des Moines, WA, died peacefully in his home on January 22, 2012. He was known as “Bill the Barber” since 1962 with his shop in Des Moines for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by two sisters Sarah and Vickie. Survived by brothers; Jim, Wilbur, David and sister, Beverly, daughters Vicki and Cheri, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bill was very close to his wife, DeeDee’s two children Sheryl and Bob and thought of them as his own. Grandpa Bill was wonderful and loved attending his grandchildren’s special events. He kept track of all birthdays and sent cards, ensuring every child and grandchild knew they were very special to him.
He was an avid Pacific Northwest sports fan with a TV in every room. He played league pool for years with his wife DeeDee. He enjoyed his monthly poker with buddies, Dave, Marty, Jerry, Ed and Neil.
Bill was proud to serve in the military for five years where he married his first wife Kathy. He later married DeeDee and will be put to rest with her on February 9, 2012 at Bonney-Watson, Washington Memorial Park. His memorial service will be February 11 at the Barber Shop from 2pm-5pm. All are welcome to come celebrate his life and the tremendous love he had for his family and friends who meant a great deal to him.

Bill was great he loved a lot of people. His friends meant the world to him. And even though he was the most stubborn with his family we knew he loved us. He was very proud of all of us. I loved my Dad I just kept forgetting to tell him.
