William Moore Dyson, Jr was born in Detroit, MI on May 21, 1948 to the union of Reather and Willie Dyson. He was the 2nd of 6 children born to that union. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1966. In 1967, he joined the Air Force where he proudly served until his retirement in 1991.
In 1970, he married Loretta Rouse and two children, DeSaint and DeSiris was born to that union of 12 years.
He was stationed in a variety of locations and while in Korea, he met Sonnie (In Son) and fell in love. They were married on October 31, 1994 and to that union two sons DeChaun and Deville were born.
William was very much a military man – pulled no punches and spoke his mind. He was an avid lover of sports and loved basketball and football.
On the evening of February 13, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer, William passed away peacefully.
William leaves to cherish his wife Sonnie of over 30 years, his parents, his brothers Wardell and Larry all who preceded him in death. His 3 siblings Denise Dyson, Jeannette Allen and Dennis Dyson. His 4 children and 7 grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held February 23, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Bonney-Watson SeaTac.
The funeral will be February 23, 2024 at noon, with the burial at 2p.m. and a reception to follow at Bonney-Watson.
