William ‘Bill’ Polnett, Jr was born to Nina Belle Mapp-Reece and William J. Polnett, Sr. April 10th, 1943 in Cincinnati, OH and passed on peacefully December 30th, 2009 in Seattle, WA. Bill was raised by Sylvester ‘Deak’ Reece and Nina Belle Mapp-Reece. He attended Robert A. Taft Senior High in Cincinnati, OH until he enlisted in the United States Army on May 31st, 1960. As a wounded Vietnam War veteran he was honorably discharged in June of 1963 . He married Dorothy Ferrell co-incidentally born in Cleveland, OH in Atlanta, GA on the 21st of February in 1981, who became his loving partner for nearly 29 years. He and Dorothy traveled the world together, to such places as; Montego Bay Jamaica, Stuttgart Germany, Seoul Korea and Bangkok Thailand. Over their many years together they moved from Atlanta, GA to Minneapolis, MN and then on to Los Angeles, CA before finally settling in Seattle, WA where they’ve called home for the past 18 years. Bill the eldest of Nina’s five children two brothers Michael and David and two sisters Margie and Linda was known as ‘June’. To his long time friends he was also known as ‘Bill Bo’. Bill’s passion for studying the Bible inspired many of the people who knew him best. His unwavering faith in God and devotion to his wife Dorothy, many would say, carried him through many ‘rough times’ through out his life. HE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT and NOW HE CAN REST. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children; Delmontee, Sonji, Elisa, Sherie, Michael and Erik. Grandchildren; Brandi, Delorean, Dominique, Bianca, Ayana, Antwon, Ashton, Chris, Shakaile, Ronie, Lexus, Ja-Chole, Rashaud, La’Nicha, Mikayla, Myesha, Ivory, Michael, Jr., Xavier and Aneya. great-grandchildren, Zaria, Zania, Chris, Jr., and Haiden.
