Obituary
Brother William Roger Arnold Sr. was born on January 25, 1936 to the union of James C. Arnold and Bertha L. Arnold in Solgohachia, Arkansas who are deceased. He attended Menifee High School where he met Elizabeth B. Garrett, his high school sweet heart. Shortly after high school they married and moved to Seattle, Washington, where he found employment with the Boeing Company. And after 30 plus years of hard work at the Boeing Company he was able to retire. William became a member of the Church of Christ in 1958 under the tutelage of Brother A.C. Christman. William Big Bro was a devout and faithful Husband, father and most importantly Christian man. William started out as the service coordinator at the Holgate St. Church of Christ, which involved coordinating and training young men to become song leaders and working in the church. He started a youth basketball program and he also took the youth fishing and on camping trips. Years later he became an elder at the Holgate St. Church of Christ where he served for seven years. William served God to the very end of his 68-year journey. He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth Arnold, and four children, William Arnold Jr., Lonnie Arnold, Andre’ Arnold, and Monica Williams and ten beautiful grandchildren. His siblings, Virdie Dean, James, Rueben Arnold, Goldyne Arnold-Green and two deceased brothers Earl and Lynndyal Arnold and hosts of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Commemorative Ceremony will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, 08/14/04 at Holgate St. Church of Christ, 2600 South Holgate Street, Seattle, WA. We have been blessed to love and to know Roger as a friend and relative. Roger will be missed dearly, but as we grow older, we understand that he is in a much better place. Our prayers go out to the family.
