Obituary
The Lord called Ying Vang home on Saturday October 22, 2022. He passed away peacefully at
his home in Des Moines, WA. He left too soon at the age of 63 and was surrounded by his loved
ones. He leaves behind his loving wife Va Her Vang. Sons: Michael, Bill, Joshua, James, John,
Mark and Peter. Daughters: Maichour and Mailee. Daughter-in-laws: Pang, Julie, Pang Foua,
Mai Yia and Amanda. Son-in-laws: Teng and Emmanuel. Grandchildren: Jonah, Nahlia, Mona,
Aijay, Myra, Jaeleen, Mina, Kyle, Penelope, Mathias, Terina and Moriah. His grandchildren were
his pride and joy.
Ying Vang was born on May 11, 1959, in Laos to the late Chue Soua Vang and Chia Yang. He
married Va Her Vang in 1979 and came to the United States in 1980. He was a faithful believer
and devoted to do God’s work at Hmong Seattle Alliance Church. He loved hunting, fishing and
camping with his friends and family. He worked as an Aerospace Machinist for 25 years.
Ying Vang had 5 sisters and 9 brothers. He survived by his siblings Steve, Nyia, and Leng.
Unfortunately, he was preceded in death by his parents Chue Soua, Chia Yang. Along with his
siblings Mao, Neng, Pa, Txam, Shee Yee, Ying Pao, Rwj, Ya Pao, Zua. May they all now rest in
peace in heaven and be joyous with our heavenly father.
Memorial Service will be held November 18th – November 20th at Bonney Watson in SeaTac.
