Since 1931, BONNEY WATSON has honored, celebrated, and remembered the lives of thousands of military veterans. This includes hosting several events throughout the year, including annual community events/ceremonies for Memorial Day and National POW/MIA Recognition Day. This Memorial Day, we’re inviting all to Washington Memorial Park to gather, honor, and remember.

Date: Monday, May 27, 2024

Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Place: Washington Memorial Park at 16445 International Blvd, SeaTac, WA

Activities & Events:

  • Patriotic arts & crafts
  • Red, white, & blue cotton candy
  • Face painting
  • Meet and greet with Northwest Battle Buddies, a nonprofit charitable organization that gifts professionally trained service dogs to veterans battling PTSD.
  • “Stuff a Hearse” event, accepting canned goods and non-perishables to nourish Pierce County food banks for healthier futures
  • Horse-Drawn carriage rides

Looking to Volunteer?

For Memorial Day, an American flag is placed on every brave soul’s final resting place. We’re looking for volunteers from the community to help us accomplish this. We welcome all to be part of this special event!

Volunteers would need to be at Washington Memorial at 9:00 AM on Saturday, May 25th to place flags ahead of Memorial Day. If you’re interested, please submit the form below, or email us at websiteseatac@bonneywatson.com.
